DOING WHAT WE LOVE
We produce Indigo dye in the fields of Aittoperä in Finland, the fields our parents once cultivated. We cherish our heritage by striving to choose modern plants for growing, for which there is a demand for now and in the future.
Natural Indigo-colour, which has been used for dyeing fabric thousands of years, is extracted from isatis tinctoria (woad) -leafs.. Our goal is to bring alternative to the harmful chemicals used in synthetic indigo dyeing whilst using a sustainable resource.
Indigo-colour is mostly used for dyeing textiles alongside synthetic dyes. Indigo colour has long history especially on dyeing denim-fabric. It's possible to dye either yarn, fabric or finished clothing.
INDIGO DYE -TODAY
Our mission is to develop sustainable and ethically produced Indigo colour to be used in new innovative ways in a near future. . We work hard to fullfill our dream of using Indigo in the food industry, beauty and design..
